This American Standard faucet fails to live up to its name, or our country's standards have fallen terribly. After removing an ancient, rusted faucet from my kitchen, I looked forward to installing this simple faucet. It wasn't the most simple installation, but things went together okay. When the hookup was finished, we turned on the faucet and voila! the water shot out the bottom into my cabinets. Not one drop made it up the pipe.

After a call to customer service, who admitted they did not know anything about the product, we removed the product to find that water feed line was broken. This faucet takes a braided metal feed from hot and cold and combines them into a tiny plastic line for the feed to the actual faucet. A very cheap plastic line which was cleanly sheared in half.

American Standard said they would not send me a new product because it was provided free for review, and even if I did purchase it, it would take 6 weeks to replace. This seems contrary to all sense. Therefore, this broken item with the non-existent customer service went in the trash. In the end, this "complimentary review item" cost me 187 bucks, which is the cost of the Moen that replaced this inferior product.

A truly terrible product with terrible customer service. I would never buy anything from American Standard.
