Purchased this after reviewing similar feeders. The package(feeder and battery combo) were cheaper than purchasing individually. Everything went together easily but leg segments are hard to keep together while trying to stand up. Solved this with a wrap of electrical tape over each joint(this is reason for 4 stars). Could use detents on legs. Battery came fully charged and seems to hold up well after 3 mo. of use. Purchased the Moultrie solar panel and attached to barrel and this keeps battery at 100%. Would recommend this(maybe Moultrie will put together a complete combo on the new model).

Update(01/24/14): Feeder was in continous use from April 15, 2013 until I closed it down on 1/14/14. It was continuing to feed each day and the battery read 100%(thanks to the compatable Moltrie solar panel) when I shut it off. Am making one modification for the coming spring, have lengthened the wire harness to the solar panel and now mount it on the feeder mid-point. The original wiring was too short and required you to mount the panel low where it collects "feed dust". I never cleaned the panel, just let the rain take care of it and even then the battery stayed topped off. Am looking to add another one for next year.
