The gradient filter slips through the holder. The filter scratches easily. There are two screws on each side to hold but the pressure is still uneven. If you tighten, it is real difficult to pull the filter through the holder only to have it fly out the other side! The internal pressure plates have ridges and they can protrude and make it nearly impossible to pull or push the filter through the device if the angle is not perfect. The tightening screws are too small for this device and there should likely be three on each side and not two. Perhaps this is not the solution to Nikon's 14-24.
