I ordered the 2.1 Sound bar w 8.0" wireless sub-woofer and MAXBASS by Sound Appeal. I liked the price and the specifications seemed ok. I am unfamiliar with Sound Appeal but thought I would give them a try. The unit arrived in a timely manner and set up was easy. The product was well packed.

Unfortunately within a few minutes of hook up I had a problem. The bass unit was making an intermittent rumbling noise that sounded like thunder. It progressively got worse and I could tell that I had received a faulty unit.

First chance I had I called AV-Express who is the distributor of this product. When I finally got through, (the phone was busy for a long time), I spoke with a customer service rep by the name of Brian Chalfin. Instead of getting the usual run around. Brian was very concerned and apologetic for the problem. He said they would take care of me and they DID! Within just a couple of hours I received the return labels in my email which covered both boxes. One of the most amazing things is that they sent me new products before I even shipped out the faulty units. I received the new unites before I even shipped back the defective units. Who does this? WOW!

The new units work just fine. As for quality, the sound bar and bass unit sound fine. Sound is crisp and enhanced. If you are looking for a real high definition sound system that works like a 7.1 surround with digital high def sound this is not the unit for you. Go spend $1500.00. That is the only way you are going to achieve that type of quality. But if you want something that gives you a good pop for your buck and brings more to your listening experience without breaking the bank then this is a good buy.

I have worked in commercial broadcasting for 20 years and I believe I have a discerning ear. I am hard to please because I am a critical listener. I have to be, I work in commercial radio. I am satisfied with this purchase and love the support I received.
