Hi,

After two minor changes:

- Reversed menu direction of '+' and '-'
- Changed the power from 50W to 60W because in orginal firmware can charge a 6S Lipo at 2.3 Amps and with 50W-6A version only can get 1.8Amps

I Can confirm that works well.

Thank you for your work.

Pablo.

Original fw is only 50W charging but continuosly calculated the Ic. (compared to the voltage   Ic=50/Ubat) example discharged 6s lipo: Ic=50/22.2   Ic=2.25
If increase Ubat then reduces Ic.
Cheali version is not calculation while running a program.

I planning the dinamycally charging current later.

Hi Nagy,

Now I only have one of them with your test version, I will test this 60W config, but if I see a problem I will be back to the 50W version.

One question?

What it's better, constant current until reach the set voltage point and change to constant voltage or the dynamically charging current?

Thank you.

What hex file is to be used with the chargers in a Turnigy 4x6s aka tq4 ?
The one i bought a week ago arrived with a firmware that cannot be calibrated. And 3 of the four chargers in it is overcharging my battery's, from 4.42 a cell all the way up to 4.297v cell.
That's just asking for puffed batteries.

Hi, I am using a custom firmware, but you can use the generic 50W-6A firmware, the only issue you will have is that the  + and - keys are reversed.

This one? cheali-charger-imaxB6-clone-0.32.hex
Is it the 5 holes in the lower left corner of this photo, that is the programming port on the 4x6s? And if so, what is the pin order?

can you check the CPU name?

Unfortunately the cpu is blank, but its size is that of a atmega32, if so i have the hobbyking flashing jig.

Its not a atmega32, as it has 48 pins and no text on it.
Gallery with pictures, unfortunately somewhat compression damaged from the filehost (i can only link one here).

For some reason my posts doent show up when i include a link to a postimage gallery ?
The cpu hasno text, and has 48 pins so its not a atmega32.

It's probably a M0517LBN ARM Cortex M0  (I wonder why it's not labeled)
for more details see:

Unfortunately It's currently not supported, but we are working on it.

Aight, ill keep an eye out on that thread then, for now ill just have to figure out a way to deal with the overcharge that mine does.
I presume a usbasp will still be used to program the cortex m0?

no,
you need a nuvoton compatible programmer,
I'm using a "bulink":

it's 18$, but someone posted a "bulink" offer for 12$, it's in the "IMAX B6 clone with an unknown motherboard and microcontroller"
and there is also a chance that this is a different CPU.

Where is this $12 offer?

Is the  M0517LBN firmware in a usable state yet? If so ill order a bu-link right now.
Currently my Turnigy 4x6 charger is just sitting in a closet collecting dust. As its overcharging lipos to 4.3xV (varies depending on port).

However im goint to start racing miniquads this season, and a 4 port charger would really simplify my charging.

Yes,

I would buy a st-link2 or a stm32discovery board,
the first CPU erase is more complicated but they are probably more useful then the bu-link.

Hi, yes I used the same one for my nuvoton M0517 based fake imax b6.
Only ordered from ebay.

Mind posting a link to the ebay vendor you bought it from?
Id rather deal with a ebay vendor then a aliexpress one.

I got one from that seller, but there are some sellers more and even cheaper.

Ordered.
Its only ~5$. i dont really care if its a few cents cheaper or not  ;)

Now the waiting game begins, meanwhile ill start working on my "not so portable" Miniquad charging station.
Its going to be a box with 4x8A PB battery's, with the 4x6s charger mounted inside.
Will be about the same weight as a portable powerstation, but less noisy and waaay less maintenance (assuming i don't forget to connect the pb battery charger after a flying session).

For some reason im only allowed to reply to the first post?

Anyway i redieved my st-link v2. However now i have a new problem.

The five pins in a row doesn't seem to be the programming interface. 4 of the pins are outputting 2.8v and the fifth is ground.
Same voltage if i measure the 5 pins used for the touch buttons.

How would i go about finding the programming pins?

Hi, I made some measurements and I got:

1 - DAT - 4.64v
2 - CLK - 4,64v
3 - RST - 4,78v
4 - GND - gnd
5 - VOC - 4,93v

Thanks, ill see if i can find them tonight.
Otherwise ill have to hunt for a pinout of the processor, and trace them from there.
Doubt i have the skills to solder directly to the cpu, and definitely not 4 times in a row :)
