Did anyone open genuine imax b6 v2 charger (with usb port) to see what processor is inside.

I've bought one - genuine with hologram... but the voltage readings are off by 0,4V so I want to flash it with cheali firmware.

The processor is under the screen which is welded with 20 or 30 pins. I don't want to unweld it just to see what processor is in.

Is there any other option to find out what processor is it. Can I get that info from USBASP with some command?

Just bend screen plate up and you will see the controller.

I've opend it and here are the pictures

I've found out that the chip is megawin MA84G564.

In the first picture there is pinout for programmer.

It can not be programed with USBASP but needs Megawin programmer that costs 48,50 USD on Aliexpress. I didn't find anywhere cheaper.

Programmer is the easier part (but price is killer). Cheali charger fw doest not support 8051 architecture at all, AFAIK nor GCC. All peripherial registers are completely different. This means ton of code to be written to support this arch, maybe more obstacles.

I was thinking at least to flash it with the original code to get the calibration menu. But price of 48,5 USD for programmer is more than I've payed for the charger.

Almost all chargers have locked program memory (FLASH), you you won't get original fw either.

Hi,

it looks like it can be flashed through USB, isn'it ?
Even if it's bricked, it should be possible de debrick via USB, by holding "Left arrow" and "Start" and then power up by connection USB cable.

I didn't dare to intentionally brick mine to test ! :-)

Anyone with a bricked one tried ?
