Hi,

I managed to convert the ini of the now obsolete logview v2 to logview Studio.
No warranty use at your own risk i cant guarantee all the output values but it must be close.

Great!
Looks very similar to logview v2 ini file,
maybe we could use yours for both programs.

Best Regards,
Paweł

Anywhere you like when you start the program you have to supply the path and file name
the device is openformat ini

Hello, Paul, you can, please expand a little more detail about the procedure how  include new device into Logview studio via OpenFormat definition?

Best regards, Torm

You set up the port ie com? and speed etc.
when you close that part it prompts for file name.

you have to supply the FULL path and file name

Hi Paul,

unfortunately your file is UTF-8 coded so Logview Studio (mine at least) does not like it. I've included a zipped ISO-8859-1 version...

Hi!
I'm struggling a bit here. To get Logview working. =)
If i want to use Logview studio it looks like I have to use your converted .ini?
Otherwise I have to download logview2?
And i can't seem to undertstand the different seetings both in the charger and in logview to get it working...
Feeling like a total idiot to be honest. I've tried to get some solid information from here and also did a mighty google but nothing really usefull turned up.
I have the original Bantam BC6-10 wich uses a external uart wich is setup to use as com port 3. In the charger I enable the UART to "normal". I then add a device "Open Format INI" in Logview Studio and specify source as serial and select my UART there.
Then when I start the device with the checkbox it asks for the .ini. and i specify it. And then what? When i try to add a chart or a gauge it says no sensors availabe...
Most confusing. If anyone could help I would be very happy. =)

Logview-v2.1 work es expected with ChealiCharger_1.0.ini
You must put this file in directory: drive:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\LogView\Geraete\OpenFormat

same for me :

dom 14.47.01.959 . [10, Device    ] OF - Data invalid : $1;2;307.8;10423;0;0;0;0;62661;0;12120;3477;3472;3474;136;92;63;38;2819;3;0;0;0;38;0;27;234;5
dom 14.47.02.775 . [10, Device    ] Invalid : The delimiter count did not match. IS : 24 MUST : 22

I've tried editing the .ini with no luck.
Any update on the topic? A new .ini file  will be released with the new V2.0 of the firmware?

you are using a wrong ini file (or you are editing the wrong one)
and copy it to:
 C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\Application Data\LogView\Geraete\OpenFormat\

we will update the ini file only if something changes in the logs,
this is not the case with V2.0 (at least not for now).

Thank you for the answer! I have no problem with logview 2.0 .

The issue appears in Logview Studio. it seems like the software can't accept more than 22 data stream values.
I'm using cheali v 0.99

my mistake, I get always confused when it comes to LogView  names :)

hm..
we used 22 "data streams" in v0.33 and 24 in v0.99 and above,

I'm looking at the diff between Cheali-studio.ini and ChealiCharger_1.0.ini
the main differences are:
1. "WerteAnzahl                     = 23"  (vs.)  "WerteAnzahl                     = 25"
2. Two additional channels  in ChealiCharger_1.0.ini
2. OffsetWertX, OffsetSummeX are set to 0.0 in Cheali-studio.ini

could you try to use the ChealiCharger_1.0.ini and set all "OffsetWert", "OffsetSumme" to 0.0?

Figured it out.. I've completed the missing values and changed some names starting from the ISO-8859-1 version posted above. Edited with notepad and not notepad++.

Now it works  !! Thank you for your help and for the fantastic firmware!

Thanks for the file!
based on it, could you check if LogView Studio works also with this file?

Affirmative ;-)

Works on LogView 2.7.6 and also on LogView Studio

now we just have to wait for V2.0!

Hi Pawel

I send in the 8-cell version (tested and updated)

Best regards
Gyuri

PS:How does the new voltage calibration system?
first to be selected 0 or 1?
low or high  the 0?

Thanks

Thanks for the ini file,
I've added it to the repository.

PS:How does the new voltage calibration system?

to be honest I'm not sure how to use it yet,
normally calibration point 0  contains only zeros
(ADC value 0 means 0V)
you only have to set calibration point 1.

but ideally you should:
1. calibrate point 1 with a fully charged 6cell battery:
   - this would set B1..B6 to 4.200V
   - and Vout to 4.2V*6 = 25.2V
2. calibrate point 0 with a fully discharged 6cell battery:
   - this would set B1..B6 to 3.000V  (depend on your battery)
   - and Vout to 3V*6 = 18V

unfortunately this causes a problem, now
calib. point. 0: Vout = 18V
calib. point. 1: Vout = 25V,
the voltage difference on Vout is not very big, so
a good idea would be to calibrate to Vout voltage again
this time in "expert DANGER!"
(Vout_plus and Vout_minus)

first to be selected 0 or 1?
always calibrate point 1 first.

low or high  the 0?
point 0 should contain lower voltages.
