I have updated to the latest 2.02 an tried a previous version.
With the original hex file.
I have a vistapower ev-650A  atmega32 cpu   similar to the imax b6  with 1amp discharge current.
Everything works fine but i cannot get the discard current higher than 550MAh in the settings and when discharging 430MAh.
is it possible to get this to 1amp .
hope to hear from you.

greetings,

Hi,

With the original hex file.

I am confused. So everything seemed ok and when you updated, you started observing this issue?

Exactly which hex file you flashed?

Did you calibrate your charger?

Charger has different limits. B6 maximum discharge current is 1A and max discharging power loss 5W.

What is you charger output voltage when you see those currents?
I guess you are hitting those 5W...

yes everything works fine.
I just realized i made a mistake i have a max 5w discharge.
At 11.4v i never can achieve 1a discharge.
Sorry my bad.

for you documentation i have a Vistapower EV-650A v2.2 Harware.
I used the cheali-charger-imaxB6-original_2.01-e10.3.12-20170311_atmega32.hex

greetings,

i was going true the conversations and found someone that modified his charger to 5amp and used  modified cheali firmware (5 amps modified)
is this still an option ??.

For higher discharge current you have to change the shunt and/or shunt voltage amplifier gain.
For higher discharge power you have to improve discharge transistor cooling. (Moved mine outside onto old GPU heat sink)
Then modify limits in the FW accordingly.

Yes It's possible and I've also done that.

You should know what you are doing, otherwise it's a fire hazard. You've been warned.
