Join a CHEA-wide e-mail list

Hello all,

 

As many of you know, the list "cheacoopdiscussion" list was created for the purpose of discussing the prospect of a new coop.  Well, that is no longer a prospect, and since many of us have already moved into the house we have created a more private "members" list.  The cheacoopdiscussion list has gradually become obsolete.

 

I propose we repurpose the cheacoopdiscussion list to being one that is at the disposal for communication between the houses of CHEA: Sasona and La Reunion.  Many of these houses' members, especially those from La Reunion, are already on the mailing list. 

 

Here's why:  Sasoonies don't want ex-Sasoonies who are non-Reunionistas hanging out on their house-only mailing list.  Ex-Sasoonie Reunionistas are sick of hearing about who is looking for someone to do the dishes at Sasona, but still want to maintain strong ties with their old house.  Reunionistas who have never lived at Sasona don't feel connected to any kind of inter-house network, but would like to be. 

 

At this time there are no security settings on the list and there are non-CHEA-ites on there as well, so until CHEA decides otherwise it can be used as a general community discussion list but should not be used to discuss sensitive topics.  However, non-CHEA-ites can easily be removed from the list if this is a priority.  I'm willing to leave these details up to discussion.  This may be good fodder for our first General Membership Meeting (!) between the houses (!!!).
