Eat for Equity: Saturday, June 25
In May, you braved tornado warnings, rain, and the drive to the 'burbs to raise over $1000 for the Emily Sandall Foundation, and its camper scholarship to help a deserving young person experience a wilderness trip at YMCA Camp Menogyn. See pics and find out more at our website, eatforequity.org
In response to the tornado that hit North Minneapolis late last month, this month we're raising money for our neighbors on the northside.
As in any disaster, after the immediate emergency needs have been addressed, countless other needs emerge - from replacing affordable housing to a loss of trees to youth development programs. We recognize that there are many ways to give. We want to give you the opportunity to choose where your dinner money and the groups' collective money will go. Without overwhelming you with all the options we've considered, we'd like you to choose between three different causes and scopes of work.
-
Long-term Development: Northside Achievement Zone [NAZ]
-
Immediate Direct Relief: God's Prayer Center
-
Community Improvement: Northside Residents Redevelopment Council
Take 5 minutes and vote here! The option that gets the most votes will get all the money we raise.
