Subject: [Cbprjobs] Associate Position Available to Work on Community and Social Change Projects
Dear CBPR jobs colleagues,
Community Science in Washington DC is looking for a fulltime Associate to help coordinate projects, review literature, collect and analyze data, write reports and proposals, and help manage meetings and travel logistics. This person will be part of a team that supports national and local projects involving large systems and community change to promote healthy and just communities that value racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity. Must be committed to scientific rigor, progressive social change, and community capacity building.
The successful candidate must have:
§ Two year prior experience in the implementation of research on or evaluation of projects related
to substance abuse or other prevention strategies, community development, coalition building, and
systems change;
§ Masters degree preferred in psychology, sociology, public health, or related field;
§ Demonstration of prior relevant organizational experience and detail orientation and skills;
§ Proficiency in qualitative and/or quantitative research skills;
§ Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) and any data
analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Atlas, or GIS);
§ Demonstrated ability to write, produce reports, and present information clearly and effectively
under time constraints;
§ Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects at the same time; and
§ Ability to work with multiple supervisors at the same time.
Fluency in Spanish or another language is strongly preferred
