Before I wrote my post I'd already tried to uninstall Wondershare and whilst it's been removed from the list, it still continues to show on task manager when I restart. There's also a folder in my C drive (C:\Program Files (x86)\Wondershare\WAF)
that does all the unistalling process without the need to do all those steps manually. In fact, if you do it manually, you will left behind many references in the windows registry that should also be cleaned manually, and that's a very risky process.
If a previous attempt to install or uninstall a Recoverit product failed and now you are unable to install or reinstall a Recoverit product on the system, it is strongly recommended that you clean your system by uninstalling all Recoverit products and supporting applications (add-ins, utilities, enablers, etc.) before attempting to reinstall the software.
If you're trying to install Recoverit and the installation gets stuck at 97%, it's an issue with system idle process high CPU usage or antimalware service executable. Here are three suggestions. Try them in order, proceeding to the next step only if you're still getting the error.
For information about how to turn off your antivirus software, check your antivirus manufacturer's website. Uninstalling your antivirus software may also help. Don't forget to reinstall it after Recoverit is finished installing and if you turned it off, be sure to turn it on again.
Tip: Windows 10 comes with default antivirus software, Windows Defender. If you determine that you're using it, select the Start button > Settings > Update & Security, and then select Windows Defender on the left. Slide the button to Off. Remember to turn it On again.
Step 2: Once downloaded, locate the installation package in your system. Double-click the file and follow the steps shown on the screen to install Wondershare EdrawMax to your system.
Step 3: Locate Wondershare EdrawMax in the Program and Features. Right-click to open the Uninstall bubble and follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall this diagramming tool from your Windows computer.
From the Chrome Web Store, click the blue "Add To Chrome" button. You'll see a confirmation box confirming that you want to install the extension. Click "Add extension". DemoAir will then begin downloading.
It's possible it's hidden behind the puzzle icon . Clicking the icon will let you enter full access to your extensions to choose which one are visible. Here's how to pin and unpin Chrome extensions from the toolbar:
Hi, so fyi I have a YouTube channel and I started using a simple editor called Filmora Wondershare. I did not read the TOS through enough and the editor is connected to the Peoples Republic of China.. Which first, I do not feel safe with. 2nd, I have found out that it downloads Malware like Trojans, Adware, etc onto your computer. Please download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.
Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit
Once the scan is completed click on the Export Summary button and save the file as a Text file to your desktop or other location you can find, and attach that log on your next reply
I don't see anything obvious in the logs to indicate there is any ongoing infection on your system at this time. I'd remove one of the AV products and maybe look at removing some of the automatic startup items but the logs are not showing an infection.
Overall, I don't see any signs of an infection in the logs now. However, you're still running both McAfee antivirus and Norton antivirus. I highly recommend that you uninstall one of them and your computer will run better and be safer.
Most of the tools used are potentially dangerous to use unsupervised or if ran at the wrong time.
They are often updated daily so if you went to use them again in the future they would be outdated anyways.
The following procedures will implement some cleanup procedures to remove these tools.
Download Delfix from here and save it to your desktop. (you may already have this)
Any other programs or logs that are still remaining, you can manually delete. (right click.....Delete)
IE: RogueKiller.exe, RKreport.txt, RK_Quarantine folder, C:\FRST folder, FRST-OlderVersion folder, MBAR folder, etc....AdwCleaner > just run the program and click uninstall.
If there are any other left over Folders, Files, Logs then you can delete them on your own.

As Java seems to get exploited on a regular basis I advise not using Java if possible but to at least disable java in your web browsers

A lot of reading here but if you take the time to read a bit of it you'll see why/how infections and general damage are so easily inflicted on the computer. There is also advice on how to prevent it and keep the system working well. Don't forget about good, solid backups of your data to an external drive that is not connected except when backing up your data. If you leave a backup drive connected and you do get infected it can easily damage, encrypt, delete, or corrupt your backups as well and then you'd lose all data.
Nothing is 100% bulletproof but with a little bit of education you can certainly swing things in your favor.
