Good news! Executive Director Rick Mascaro has gifted our backs and bottoms with new seating in the theater. If the delivery gods cooperate, the new chairs should be in place for the competition. Thank you, Rick!!

And the good news continues. We are so pleased and proud to share that board director Marilyn Hemmer and her husband, John, have been awarded the 2026 George B. Weaver Jr. Footprints Award by the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation. This prestigious recognition celebrates “individuals who create ‘footprints’ for others to follow through their community service and philanthropy.” We certainly know that Westfield is a more vital and vibrant place to live because of this dynamic duo. Our heartiest congratulations to them. They’ll receive their award at the June 29 NCCF Annual Meeting.

Once again, we can be grateful to NCCF for sponsoring our Songwriters Circle for the upcoming season. Organizer Tim Wright offers another year of talented composers who sing their own works on our stage. Audience, you need only sit and be entertained. No songwriting or singing required of you. Thursday, May 21, 7:30 p.m. brings Fred Oakman, Addisyn Logan, and Vinnie DeRosa. What great entertainment for only $10!
