Is it possible to run this Community Band link again?annstah...@aol.com

Many thanks,

Jason

The Chautauqua Community Band (CCB), and conductor Jason Weintraub, invite you to a July 4th CCB experience. Watch and listen to the following short (8 1/2 minute) concert accompanied by familiar scenes of Chautauqua.  For heightened nostalgia tune in on Saturday, July 4th, at noon and have the family and a picnic lunch on hand.

Thanks, all, for this helpful feedback. It’s true we had some issues and glitches with our new video platform on Monday, some due to factors outside our control (a widespread Google Cloud Services hosting failure, for instance). We encourage anyone having trouble with our platforms to stay with us, and to make use of our premium assistance options:

· Video Platform (assembly.chq.org) help is available here<https://assembly.chq.org/help>.

· Online Classroom (learn.chq.org) help is available here<https://learn.chq.org/support>.

Our colleagues at the Chautauqua Ticket Office will also be available by email at ticket...@chq.org<mailto:ticket...@chq.org> to assist with any questions about CHQ Assembly, and by phone at 716-357-6250<tel:7163576250> during regular business hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday (expanded to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily from June 27 to Aug. 30).

Outside of accessing our content at assembly.chq.org/browse<https://assembly.chq.org/browse> (be sure to establish an account!), we encourage downloading the app to your phone or smart device by searching “Chautauqua Assembly” — Vizio TVs, for instance, usually have Google Cast installed and can natively receive feeds from the Chautauqua Assembly app through your Cast-enabled phone (if that doesn’t make sense to you, don’t worry! there are many other ways to view).

Please know we’re still working to find the best way to organize and present our programs as we just begin programming a new season on these new platforms, and your feedback is invited and welcomed. It will probably take another week or two to find the right balance and mix. Thanks for journeying with us in this new environment. We’ll get it down, together!

Hi Sally - I feel your pain. SmartTVs are not easy to figure out.

I’m not sure you will be able to stream directly on your Vizio SmartTV. Could you find a Chautauqua Assembly app on the Vizio? I’m guessing not. The email announcing CHQ Assembly mentioned “televisions via Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV streaming services.” I think you need a separate device like a Roku etc plugged into you TV, even though it is a SmartTV.
Roku devices are fairly cheap starting about $30. They plug into USB port on your TV and are generally easy to get working. From the Roku you can get the CHQ Assembly app and start live sessions right from your TV via the Roku remote.. I don’t have experience with AppleTV or the Android Options - sorry.

You can also cast or stream from your computer or iPad / tablet to the SmartTV. This sometimes works and sometimes it quirky in my experience esp with Live programming.

Maybe someone can pipe up if they know a way to get CHQ directly on a SmartTV other than casting or with a “stick” or ideas for other solutions.

This will be a learning experience for all of us this season, but I’m personally grateful that the technology exists to make this it possible. There will be I’m ups and downs but I’m determined to stay positive.
Good luck. If you find a great tech resource let us all know.

I encourage everyone to stick to it as the bugs are worked out. When it works, it works remarkably well – the quality of the camera work and the audio production is excellent. And the app version for cellphones is extremely functional, a simple interface with lots of programming options available; access to lectures from previous seasons has never been easier.

Well said, Earl. As one typically on the communications and productions
side, I'm impressed with what CHQ is attempting through the CHQ Assembly.
Sunday evening was beautiful and hopefully the other platforms will work
well. As Jordan noted, sometimes the issues are beyond the tech or comm
team's control.

Best,
Nathan

of the other platforms.
