Spectrum Seasonal Service working FYI

To those with Spectrum Internet service - if anyone's interested, Spectrum IS doing Seasonal Service these days. 
I know it has changed from year to year, so I was happy to learn that it's only $4.99/month to have 'Seasonal Hold' on the account (vs. $70/mo. to keep the service active) -- they power down the modem remotely (then back on when you return), so you don't have to worry about the hassle of disconnecting your service, returning equipment, and then restarting next year, etc., as you keep the same account.
The helpful agent explained that they do Seasonal Hold for a min. 2 mos. to max. 9 mos., once per rolling 12 month period.  I called the number Carol R. helpfully provided in her recent post: (833) 267-6094‬

However, you won’t qualify for any of the ‘new customer’ deals next year and may end up paying a much higher monthly rate. That’s what happened before.

I have my own modem and just call Spectrum any time of the year when I want internet service turned on even if it is for a couple of weeks.  They connect it from the office ant there is no equipment to return. They gave me a special deal in June which was cheaper than the advertised price.
