Leaving car in CHQ over winter

Hello!

We are considering buying a car to drive up to CHQ from FL next week and leaving the car up there in the fall when we return to FL. I know that some people do that, and we are just wondering where the car is stored, cost of storage, and if there is a way to insure the car for just part of the year. Any advice on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
