Hey Pradeepen Thulika
Dont act as the Superior advisor of IKM. Govt. have authorised IKM
to create the softwares for Panchayats. It is not Ur Job. Try to do ur
job as well as you can. Ur attempt to create the website for Panchayat
is also a challenge to IKM. Stop these works atonce. Otherwise it will
be very bad to U.

let him try, and bodies like IKM can include Pradeepan et al in the brain storming and  developing stages of S brand software applns (Sevana,Sanchika,Samagra,....SSSS)
I read another news a couple of days back that one man from north kerala developed a sw like this.
so as a democratic society we have to enrich the collabrative learning process. As regards to IKM intiatives, Govt of Kerala in its IT Policy clearly recomends that GNU/Linux intaitives must be laid down at all possible ways. Then I hv one doubt, all IKM applns are GNU/Linux, Open office one. If the answer is NO, as rajesh edyadi says, IKM violating the GoK Policy.
See, IRTC (of Kerala Sastra Sahitya Parishad) has successfully developed a geo-based(gis) appln in GNU Linux paltform and implimented in a panchayat. Which is very effective one, are they (KKSP- IRTC) violating IKM or some other.

Who r u to warn him. In this current stage IKM is taking a big
commission by suplying us the windows softwares ans OS. They r giving
us the copy provided by acer and taking commission of the professional
version. Dont u See that. In KSEB they r using Ubuntu the free Linux
software.... Our LSG institutions are loosing their funds of these
unnecessary expenditures. Let him try this is India okay this is
democratic county....

People like you arguing without knowing the actual matter.

Acer supplies the PC with built in OS , ie Microsoft supplies the OS
to Acer company. IKM have no any role or " commision" on
this. and public is very well aware of who takes the "commision
"when purchasing equipments or anything to Localbodies.

Then another thing you reminded about " free softwares"
Do you know anything about free softwares , Yes or No ( Kinattile
thavalayku utharam muttiyo ?)

IKM handles a huge database with highly secure data . and to be
maintained for a long periode
In the case of free Softwares
Who will be responsible for the crashes or other bugs occured on the
Operating system ?

ikm can do nothing for panchayats . they starts their mission since
1999 june
they prepared 14 softwares su, sa, stha,
san,etc .......useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
