Subject: Neighbor's dog

Today I saw a neighbor's dog -- a large, rusty brown dog -- run straight out at a car driving on the gravel portion of Chatham Church Road. I was terrified the dog was about to be killed! Fortunately, the driver slammed on his brakes and did not hit the dog.

If this is your beloved family pet, please check that your fences are intact or that your dog is otherwise kept on your property. I I've met this dog walking down the road & he seems a nice, good-tempered dog. I don't want to be the one who has to carry him or her to your door, bleeding and hurt, if the next driver is speeding and doesn't have time to stop.
