Lia and Ryan had been friends since the moment they met in his mystic
creatures class at Bourmount private college. After three years of
such friendship they've become very good friends, trusting the other
with their most terrifying secrets; all but one that Ryan holds dear.
A wife that will have nothing to do with her husband unless on the
verge of Alcohol poisioning is a sad story in general but what if she
has a right to denounce him? There is a monster in all of us that
waits to get out, wanting to prowl and lash out at the ones we love
most. Lia's monster is her father who had been locked up for seventeen
years and only a few months left; the man who made the dark such a
scary and forbidden place for her.
She struggles to figure out Ryan's monster; his mother, his wife? What
could he be hiding that was so horrible he would have to keep from
even her?
"A wife that must be drunk in order to love her husband is no wife at
all." What was I suppose to have said?
