Hi Andy,

Yes, Vannaro is my partner on the engineering recruiting team, but I'll be handling your process for the most part. If everything goes positively, he'll likely be partnering with you from the onsite forward. I do have an update for you, though - we received feedback and it looks like your coding exercise looked great! We'd love to have you talk to one of our Engineering Managers, Steve Cary, for about 45 minutes.

Do you have any availability next week for that call? During the call, Steve will be diving a little deeper into your technical background, and will also have time for you to ask any questions you might have about the team/process/Slack in general. Let me know when you can!

Best,
Julie

Hi Julie,

Thank you for the update. Vannaro Lim from Slack recruiting also sent me a note yesterday telling me the review is in progress and will keep me informed. I'm just curious if you're coordinating with Vannaro in my application process.

Hi Andy,

Good morning! I just wanted to give you an update - I am still waiting on feedback from Nolan, but we should have it by next Tuesday at the latest (due to the long weekend.) Thank you for your patience!

Best,
Julie

Hi Andy,

Thank you for taking the time to chat with me the other day. As I mentioned during our conversation, the next step in the application process will be for you to complete a coding exercise. I've provided a link with instructions below:

https://slack-files.com/T024BE7LD-F078A9JTH-a34a80543d

You can take up to a week to get this back to me, and feel free to use that entire time if needed. Make sure you're happy with the result! I've copied Nolan Caudill, Engineering Manager, on this email so if you have any technical questions feel free to send them his way. I look forward to hearing back from you soon!

Best,
Julie

Yay, so you wrote an WP app? That's cool. Did you make it an run on WP and desktop? That sounds like a lot of work ....

Eric

Yes, I tested it on both the phone and on the PC emulator. It took me 4 days to write it, including using some work hours 😛

Gee...This is what a hot startup in Bay Area can do -- fishing candidates.

Hi Andy,

Thank you so much for being so patient with us during our interview process. Both Steve and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation with you. I just wanted to let you know that we are pretty far into the process with a few other candidates so we'll be holding off bringing you onsite at this time to avoid wasting your time.

I would love to keep an open dialogue between us! I should have an update for you within the next few days to let you know the direction we're heading with your candidacy. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any further questions.

Best,
Julie

Hi Julie,

I had a pleasure speaking with Steve this afternoon and we had a great conversations on different engineering topics and on the organization. Steve told me he will write up the feedback and I will likely hear what the next step will be in the process sometime next week.

Thanks for setting up this meeting. Have a great weekend!

Hi Andy,

Thanks for sending over your availability! Unfortunately Steve has 4:30 meetings on both Thursday and Friday, so might you be able to make 3:30 or 3:45 work? Let me know if possible, otherwise we can always take a look at the following week.

Best,
Julie

Hi Julie,

This is awesome news! I would love to speak with Steve Cary next week. The best time for me is any time after 4pm next Wednesday through Friday. Please let me know if that will work for Steve's schedule. Otherwise, I will try to accommodate as best as I can.

Have a great long weekend!
