Hi!

I am looking into doing a scrollable linear chart, in short:

* Display a linear chart with data for a given month (say June)
* The user can choose to look at the adjacent month (say May or July)
by pressing a button on either end or by swiping

Is there any way for me to add controls to the linear chart so that my
application can react to a swipe or a click on either end?

Kind regards,
Marcus

Hi Marcus,
I haven't implemented scrolling or zooming yet in the charts, though I plan to some time.  I hear that AChartEngine has doe this, so you could take a look at that library: http://code.google.com/p/achartengine/

Thank you Karl for your reply!

Of course, having that functionality within the framework would have
been great,
but right now I would be satisfied with handling it myself somehow but
since the Charts
appear as their own Activities I don't have any way to add view
components or controls
to the screen - do I?

Well, that's really what I'm asking, is there any way at all to affect
a chart view?
Either by setting callbacks or by being able to add view-components to
it (on top of it)?
(Should point out also that I'm not very familiar with Android-
development quite yet
and there might be a standardized way to add components on top of
other activies or
something similiar - in that case I am totally unaware of it so far)

Kind regards,
Marcus
