Theperformance drop was with minecraft still running, most it was doing was making typing take a couple seconds to update to what i typed, and some issues loading things, but the part that concerned me about that was i checked task manager yet nothing ever seemed to be above 50% usage, despite minecraft running with a pretty tanky shader, which makes the terrible framerate even more confusing to me.

Yes i am aware i am using a laptop, but is an alienware with some pretty good specs and an 3070, and my old shitty pc, about $800 could(while very much struggling) run some form of shaders with more then 1 fps

Still got any ideas?

And yes i lowered the absolute hell out of the effects the shaders had, still never got it higher then 4 fps

ive used this before, i loved it and it works great, but ive come across an issue where when i try to use it and load into a world, instead of showing the in game stuff, it leaves up the dirt wall for the loading screen

Many unique qualities are found within the new AstraLex Shader pack for Minecraft. The end goal of this shader pack is very special; to allow content creators a vastly improved visual experience to make the best possible content or to enjoy playing a better visual game experience.

Through the use of the new AstraLex Shaders pack, Minecraft players will immediately see the significant differences in the game world. Countless visual upgrades have been made to the game world, allowing for a beautiful and immersive gaming experience.

Lighting during the day and night time has been vastly improved. New god rays appear during specific times of the day or weather patterns. New sunshine and moon glow fill the world with a vibrant lighting feel that makes you feel more like you are inside the game.

A flood of visual performance upgrades is available to be tweaked within the settings tool from Optifine. With a wide range of visual performance enhancements, gamers with high-end PCs will experience a completely different Minecraft experience.

As mentioned before, this shader pack was made with Minecraft content creators in mind. With fancy lighting and visual details, there is a new level of production for videos and Minecraft media. Give your audience a taste of movie-like atmospheres made up of exciting new visual elements seen nowhere else. Now, you can take your content creation to an all-new level with the exciting upgrades offered by the AstraLex Shader (BSL Shaders Edit).

Along with graphic upgrades like HDR, much depth of field and blur adjustments give the game a more movie-like appearance. Some of the features might not be ideal for standard gameplay and survival, but for content creation and scene building, these are fantastic details to take advantage of.

AstraLex Shaders can only be used by those who have Iris Shaders or Optifine for the shaders to function correctly. AstraLex Shaders can automatically be used within your Minecraft world once Optifine / Iris is installed.

to download it with optifine is to :download and install optifine 2 igo into the game if your mincraft launcher is open close it then reopen it 3 make a world and press esc 4 press options 5 press shaders 6 it will ask you to drop the shader in the shader folder 7 when you see the name of the shader in the game press 8 have fun with you shader.

First, load up AstraLex shaders and open up a world. Check your FPS by pressing F3 and looking at the top left. Start by going to options, video settings, and changing graphics to fast. Set smooth lighting to the minimum and make sure the FPS is set to unlimited. Then, go to performance settings and turn on render regions, fast render, and fast math.

Now, go to detail settings and set trees to fast while turning off clouds. Moving on to the shader menu, go to the shader options at the bottom right and set the profile to low. This preset is ideal if you want to increase the FPS. If you want to improve the realism instead, choose a different profile.

In the visual tab, go to advanced materials, click on reflections, and turn off all reflections. Then, head to cell shading, click on BSL cell shading, and turn off the black outline. Next, navigate to post-processing and turn off the bloom, motion blur, and lens flare. In the sky clouds configurations, make sure to turn off clouds. Now, go to hands and cam movement and disable all movements for better performance.

AstraLex shaders give Minecraft a whole new atmosphere, as you can see in the screenshots. Everything in your game world looks different. Everything from the sky to the water looks extremely realistic and shines very brightly. However, the new lighting also creates a problem. It is pitch black at night. So we recommend that you go to the shader options and make some changes to the lighting.

Furthermore, the creator LexBoosT writes that the pack was only tested in Minecraft Vanilla. As a consequence, there may be problems with mods. But according to our tests, this is rather the exception and the most popular modpacks should run without problems.

We would like to draw your attention to a unique and very realistic shader pack for Minecraft, which allows one to turn the game world into a kind of hand-drawn cartoon. Have you ever seen old cartoons? A shader pack called AstraLex Shaders features a similar design, because of which many users have appreciated it.

Generally speaking, the mod can boast a huge number of techniques and settings, where each player will be able to adjust a unique style for themselves, thoroughly customize the graphics, and get a colorful visual picture, both in the cartoon style and in the one we are familiar with thanks to the vanilla Minecraft.

We will consider the features of AstraLex Shaders in the vanilla style without enabling the cartoon design. But we should briefly touch upon what the advantages of this style are, why it is so attractive, and how you can adjust it if you still want to enable this mode.

To create the cartoon style effect, a black-edged outline is used here for each character, which is more professionally called the toon contour. Thanks to such an effect, all the objects, items, and the environment become outlined in black and create an impression that you are a cartoon character yourself, and everything that happens around you is drawn or dynamically created with a pencil, especially when new chunks are loaded.

Alternatively, if you need to turn this style on, follow the same steps, but turn the Black Outline on in the 'Style' section. The pack will reload again, and you will be able to continue your journey.

Note! In the 'Style' section, you can also enable another parameter called Colored Outline. In this case, the cartoon style will remain, but the black outline will not be so pronounced, and the visual picture will become closer to slightly modified vanilla Minecraft. One can say that this option is something in between the standard version and the cartoon style.

One of the features of this shader pack, as well as its highlight, is the recreation of the starry sky with zodiac signs, on which different constellations are visible. Turning your head in any direction, you will see all the constellations in the sky, visually forming each zodiac sign. All this looks very cool, as if you are in some astrological observatory or planetarium, not in a game.

Another feature of the in-game night sky with this shader pack is flying comets and shooting stars, which look amazing. Of course, at some point, it becomes boring to see such celestial bodies constantly flying in the sky, but all this looks unusual at first. It is a pity that the developers from Mojang do not implement such features themselves, and modders from different communities have to implement everything on their own.

But that is not all, as you might think. Another planet is also visible in the sky, which gets closer as the night approaches, imitating the movement of the solar system, the Earth's trajectory, and the overall structure of the galaxy. This is impressive and unusual, although such large objects sometimes simply block the entire view when you look into the distance.

Against the background of the entire starry sky and numerous other details, the moon only adds more colors to the visual side of the game and saturates it. Its glow extends over a large area, so even in those biomes where there is not enough light or complete darkness, you will be able to quite normally under the moon's illumination. So it must be clear that playing with such a pack at night is a sheer joy.

The last thing to note as regards the nights in Minecraft is the aurora borealis. It is quite unusual to see such a phenomenon in the cubic world since there is nothing similar even in many large-scale AAA projects. But here, the modders have implemented such a feature. Moreover, it can be disabled and adjusted in the settings. You will be able to set the intensity and other parameters not only for the northern lights, though, but also for the planet and constellations.

This shader pack can boast a huge number of effects capable of unlocking the entire potential of aquatic biomes, reservoirs, swamps, and all the locations where there is the slightest element of water, be it drops, splashes, huge oceans, or rivers. After installing the shader, it may seem that the effects are not that substantial, but this is not the case.

The modders have done a great job on water shadows. So any objects hit by the sunrays, moonlight, and other light sources, cast a shadow on the water. This looks as realistic as possible, as if this happens in the real world. In turn, thanks to a large list of settings, the user can adjust the intensity, saturation, sharpness, resolution, and quality of the shadows.

Another unique feature is the transparency of the water and the possibility of looking through it. Just dive into the water and try to look at some house or castle nearby in the vanilla Minecraft from there. Will you see a lot? Nope! Now install AstraLex Shaders and do that again. You will enjoy all the beauty of water distortion. Light rays are refracted, structures and blocks are slightly shifted, but you will still see a clear visual picture.
