Unlock new realms of creativity and adventure with Minecraft mods. As an integral part of the globally acclaimed sandbox game, Minecraft, these modifications, or "mods," offer endless possibilities to customize and expand your gaming experience.

Minecraft mods are player-created modifications that add or change features within the base game. These modifications can be as simple as adding new crafting recipes, or as complex as introducing entirely new weapons, characters, and landscapes to the game.

The beauty of Minecraft mods is their diversity. You can find mods that transport you into vast new universes, replicate your favorite fantasy worlds, or even implement sophisticated technical features, like electricity or intricate machinery. Minecraft mods can also enhance the gameplay mechanics, adding new dimensions, improving graphics, optimizing the game's performance, or making the game more challenging.

The Minecraft modding community is a testament to the game's versatility and open-endedness. The creativity of the community knows no bounds, with thousands of mods available that cater to every player's taste and style. From novice players who want to explore new terrains to experts seeking a more challenging adventure, there's a mod out there to meet your needs.

With Minecraft mods, the sky is truly the limit. By incorporating these creative modifications into your game, you can explore new territories, build intricate structures, overcome challenging quests, or just add some flair to your Minecraft world. Harness the power of mods and bring your Minecraft experience to the next level.

Minecraft Mods are enjoyed by both players and programmers. Minecraft mods (short for Minecraft modifications) describe the output or process of adding custom items and blocks to Minecraft. Modding allows users to expand the open-ended game, incorporating new tools, blocks, mobs, and more.

9Minecraft is a website about Minecraft, where you can easily download free resources such as: minecraft launchers, clients, mods, maps, resource packs, data packs, seeds, mcpe, addons, bedrock, and much more. This website provides a diverse repository for the Minecraft community to customize their experiences.

I want to download a mod, but when I open Minecraft and click the Mod button, my mod doesn't show up. I'm really confused because I checked millions of times, I know I have the right Minecraft type. My Forge is perfectly fine, but I can't download my mod on it.... Please help me!

From what I understand at least, you want to download a mod, I assume you have gone to a legit mod site like curse.com or Minecraft.curseforge.com/mc-mods or so instead of a mod repost site which are bad sites that steal other mods from creators and 'repost them'.

If its the fact your mod isn't showing up in the 'Mod Options' section though which is more what it seems like, it depends on the version of the game. 1.7.10 Forge and 'Mod Options' isn't done much yet but 1.12.2 and later versions past 1.7.10 the Mod Options works great, I've not come across issues with mods not appearing but it could be possible to happen.

I found the problem! Once I put my mod inside the mod folder, it wasn't .jar, it was .file (or something like that :P) It works now, but I can't seem to download another forge type.... I already downloaded Forge 1.12.2, but whenever I attempt to download Forge 1.7.10 or 1.8.9, it never works! I go onto my Minecraft launcher (I use the normal Mojang one, like you predicted) but there is nothing there! I can still see my forge 1.12.2 though. Once I checked inside my .minecraft, the file for forge was still there, although it wouldn't show up in the launcher....

I see, that makes sense. Yeah .file isn't going to work in the mods folder, see that's either a settings thing or an ad site file download, you will want to get rid of that if its from the ad site its useless. That's my guess at least of what it is and what you are trying to achieve.

Ok what mod are you after though? If you tell me I can probably find out what it is your trying to do with the .file if it is 'actually' a mod. I'm only guessing its when trying to get Forge that that could be the .file from what I've experienced or seen at least. I don't know for sure unless I have more information.

Hmm? I have heard Chrome (the Web Browser) doesn't like downloading Forge from a video I came across, is that it? I've never used Chrome so I didn't know about the 'lack of downloading' problem until the video. If that's the case I could post the video for you to take a look.

Other than that, can you show me screenshots of your .Minecraft so I can get an idea of what your setup looks like to make sure I know if its mod ready or not with not only the 1.12.2 but also a 'mods' folder, the Forge version in the 'versions' folder and so on. Just so I know what you have achieved so far. I do believe you know what your doing I just want to make sure I understand what you have been successful with though so I can keep up and help out. And also so I don't say things you already know that I don't necessarily need to type at all.

See this is why I don't use the Vanilla Launcher with Forge anymore is the downloads of Forge from the ad site, its similar to mod repost sites or certain mod creators used to do, posting them to ad sites which annoyed a lot of people for just getting a .jar file to play community content just so mod creators can get paid for their efforts besides donations, its ridiculous when ad sites get very aggressive sometimes and its annoying and risky. Gladly Curse exists or else mod downloading would be risky more than worth it.

I know why Forge does it to get money for the effort they put in, but its getting annoying so I just use Third Party Launchers instead to skip the Forge 'ad site' parts and the rest of the mod downloading I do safely. With the Third Party Launcher Forge is easy to download once you select the Forge you want and it just gets it with ease, no problems like ad site nonsense to deal with like the Vanilla Launcher.

It bugs me though and ad sites are getting not only annoying but can be aggressive these days. So I use MultiMC or Twitch to not only skip Forge ad site nonsense but it gets the file for me and I can do my mod downloading the manual way (for MultiMC) or automatically the Twitch way from Curse's mod offerings.

Otherwise though 1.7.10 and 1.8.9 can struggle to work on the Vanilla/Standard Launcher sometimes, it can work but not always I use the Vanilla Launcher mostly for newer versions of Minecraft for mod environments or snapshots rather than older where compatibility isn't great and as Java updates happen so does the access to using those versions for mods getting more and more less likely to be accessible.

But then I use the Vanilla Launcher for 1.13/1.14 modding now compared to having most of the older/newer versions of Forge for a while now if I ever need them or just from yes downloading odd Forge versions for certain mods I don't mind using at times, but I can't posted them since distributing isn't legit so yeah that's a thing.

Ok the edit button isn't working for my past posts so that's great. After testing 1.7.10 and 1.8.9 Forges do work with the Vanilla Launcher it seems, must have been something else that caused me to think it didn't, maybe it was 1.7.2 or 1.6.4 lack of success I had instead.

That was a long read ;D. I wanted to say that I did some research (a.k.a. playing video games) and I found out my forge 1.7.10 is working! But my 1.8.9 forge still does not show up in my launcher.... It's not a problem with chrome, because I managed to download my other ones perfectly, but I can't download 1.8.9. My 1.12.2 1.7.10 forge and mods work, (now I keep saying the same thing over again...) Yes, I got my forge from your link, I was careful about that 'cuz I didn't want to download some random virus or something. I'll show you a picture of my .minecraft, as well as my mod folder (ignore the outfox folder, that was for 1.12.2) and my versions folder. Once I look at them, they look fine, but when I open my launcher, it doesn't show the 1.8.9. I'll show a picture for that too. I can't insert it into this text, I have to add it as an attachment because the other thing isn't working for me either...

From what I understand from the images and your explanation, image 4 in particular, you don't have a 1.8.9 profile setup. Try creating a new profile for that one, and selecting the 1.8.9 Forge version, it will, like the 1.7.10 & 1.12.2 one be at the bottom of the Minecraft versions near release 1.0. That's the only thing that seems to be off about it, everything else seems fine to me at least that's what comes to mind for me right now.

Oh. My. God. I am so stupid I thought that it was supposed to create a new profile automatically, and once I was about to make a new profile, I found forge 1.8.9, sitting at the very bottom, waiting for me to realize my mistake.... Thank you sooooooo much! Now I know what to do whenever I don't see forge! By the way, once I said it was a long read, I'm not complaining. I love to read a lot, -and somehow that relates to reading long threads- and I meant that in a good way But still, thanks a lot!

Forge will 'injected itself' into the game, but Minecraft profiles are to be created by the user yeah. The only one that is automatic is the first one you get when you install the standard launcher. But either way.

hi, can u pls help me, i have installed forge 1.8.9 and i hvae putted keystroke 5.0 and optifine 1.8.9 in the mod folder. but when im in minecraft and press mod button optifine and keystroke didnt show up!! so can u pls help me!!

Otherwise when modding the game all you should need is to have Java installed, install Forge for 1.8.9, it should create a mods folder, you put Optifine 1.8.9 and Keystrokes 1.8.9 into the mods folder, and if Optifine doesn't work then extract it by double clicking it and extracting it to a mod and putting it into the mods folder (you can extract it in the folder). Then running the game should be fine and loading both Optifine and Keystrokes.
