Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Must have knowledge and understanding of the theories, principles and practices associated with the design, development and support of GIS applications. Must be able to provide a variety of intermediate GIS skills including management and quality assurance of geospatial data; and provide planning related mapping and spatial analysis. Responsible for the coordination of all GPS collected data. IT related projects and special projects as needed. GIS development experience with SDE, SQL Server, Python, Model Builder, VB or VB.NET is a plus. Intermediate level of experience using ESRI ArcGIS 9.2 or above is preferred. A combination of education and experience to equal a bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, computer information systems, or related field is preferred. Candidate must possess the motivation to keep current in GIS technology. Organizational skills and able to work independently under general direction are essential for this position. Excellent oral/written communication and customer service skills are mandatory. Final candidates subject to background investigation and drug screen
