Here are a few issues on which we can vote to squelch the confusion.
Please take a moment to vote for all three issues. I'll let everyone
know the results of the voting at our November meeting next week.

Question 1: Mailing list location
Somehow, along the way over the past 2 years, ALT.NET Charlotte ended
up with 2 mailing lists. 1 is on Google groups and the other is on
Yahoo groups. Obviously this has given rise to some confusion. Let's
vote on 1 mailing list.

Which do you prefer:
1: Keep it on Google Groups
2: Keep it on Yahoo Groups
3: Pick one for me, I don't have an opinion

Question 2: Twitter
The second question is related to our twitter hash tag. It is how
those of us who use Twitter keep in touch and I just want to make sure
we do what's easiest for everyone.
1: Let's use #CltAltNet
2: Let's use #AltNetClt
3: Set up a user account like CharlotteAltNet and we'll just send
messages to @CharlotteAltNet
4: I don't use Twitter so it doesn't matter to me

Question 3: December Topics
We need to come up with some topics to discuss at our December meeting
or decide not to have a December meeting. If we do meet, we'll meet
12/13. Some topics have been thrown out already, one of which is
SignalR, and I'd love to present that at our December meeting (if we
have one) if no one minds listening to me speak for a little while. Of
course, there are a zillion other topics. Please vote for either
SignalR OR to bring a new topic in to the November meeting. If we have
enough votes for "something else," we'll put them on the board and
take a vote next week for our December topic.

December:
1: Let's meet, and talk about SignalR
2: Let's meet, and talk about something else. I'll bring my topic(s)
to be voted on next week.
3: Let's not meet in December

Thanks to everyone for the time and for your continued involvement in the group!

Work and other conflicts have kept me from the meetings for some time but I'm going to answer any way :)

Question 1:   Keep it on Google Groups
Question 2:  #CltAltNet
Question 3:  I will be in Jamaica.

1. I like Google Groups better.
2. I'm ok with any Twitter approach others prefer.
3. In December let's meet and talk about SignalR

I like your wording better for the Twitter answer. :)

Had no idea there was Yahoo Group. Have I been missing out on a whole other conversation?

Just my two cents:
Google Groups
#CltAltNet

If you do a December meeting maybe it should be something like a hack night or a hands-on lab.
Or maybe a social gathering - somewhere like Taco Mac. I'll be around so I'm up for keeping the Dec meeting.

1. Google Groups (until we outgrow it)
2. #CltAltNet (unless someone volunteers to manage an @CltAltNet Twitter account -- I created one for the Guild and always forget about it)
3. I say we meet in December but let's join Chuck in Jamaica at the local Taco Mac. Wait, there's no Taco Mac in Jamaica? Oh bother! Can we do both? Have a short meeting on SignalR and then drive down to Taco Mac for a beer? And the meeting sponsor pays for the first beer and some appetizers? Or just some appetizers?

Thanks, everyone, for the session input. Got an interesting topic that
popped up for December. I'm really excited about it, and think it'll
be a great presentation. Alan Stevens has offered to speak. I'll send
out the AnyVite and will put some links in there so you can learn more
about Alan's skills and community involvement. He's one of the people
responsible for CodeStock, and is pretty dag-gum awesome as a speaker.
Mr. Hitney's offered to host it for us at Microsoft, so we'll be there
on 12/13. I think the Guild is also going to mention it to their
membership, and we won't have the normal 20-person cap, so it should
be a pretty awesome meeting.
