Today, so far at least, a missile has not been fired at my country.
Today, so far at least, a child hasn't been terrorized into running for cover.
Today, so far at least, mothers have not had to grab their children, silently counting the seconds in their heads to make sure they got to shelter before the boom.
Today, so far at least, no one has heard the horrific explosion of a missile landing close to their homes.
Today, so far at least, no one has come out of their bomb shelter to find their property destroyed, their cars thrown from the impact, their windows shattered.
Today, so far at least, the sun is shining, the wind blowing softly and the heart soars with yet another beautiful day in Israel.
Today, so far at least, we are a normal country even though yesterday, we were a country at war.
It will take us a few days to stop watching the news, listening for sirens, praying in those seconds when sirens are sounding that it will be okay, but still...
Today, so far at least, our amazing Iron Dome teams have not had to wait and see if yet again,
God's touch brings two objects together to explode in the skies above us, and save lives below.
Today, so far at least, our soldiers are doing what they have to do, but breathing just a bit easier than they did yesterday.
Today, so far at least, our children are enjoying summer vacation, swimming, smiling, riding their bicycles.
Today, so far at least, we are a normal country in August.
If you don't live in Israel, if you don't love Israel with all of your soul as we do, you can't imagine how beautiful today feels.
And so we come to the thank you.
Thank you to our government (coalition and opposition) that came together.
Thank you to our soldiers, from the highest to the newest.
Thank you to all the residents of the south, who braved yet another war in dignity and patience.
Your willing to listen and do all you can to be safe,
saved all of Israel from so many agonies.
And most of all, thank You, Hashem, for the blessings - the blessings of this day, this country, the peace, however fragile,
You give us this day.
Thank You for watching over us,
for taking a 70% effective invention and making it 97% to keep us safe.
And finally, to the land You have given us, thank you to Israel, this beautiful land.
Blessed by God, loved by its people, protected by our sons and daughters. Our eternal home.
