Project Bread’s FoodSource Hotline would like to offer assistance to any families in your community that may benefit from SNAP/Food stamps. With children out of school, many families may struggle to afford the additional expenses of summer. Many families, who rely on school meals for daily access to nutritious food, may be worried about putting food on the table. SNAP can be a tremendous support in budgeting these and other summer expenses.
FoodSource Hotline counselors are here to help! Counselors can prescreen callers for SNAP eligibility and can start new applications over the phone. Someone will also follow-up with each individual throughout the application process to help solve any problems that may arise. Counselors also work to connect people in need with additional food resources in their community. We can assist callers Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, and over 200 other languages through our interpreter service.
We are asking that you share information about our hotline with your community. We have posters, brochures, and other materials that we can send free of charge. Attached you will also find sample messages you may use in any newsletters, blurbs, phone messages, etc. I have also attached an outreach order form. If you have any questions or would like to order any materials please feel free to contact Kelly Carvalho at Kelly_C...@projectbread.orgor (617) 239-2581. Best Wishes,
Kelly Carvalho
