CPR and First Aid Class at CNS Friday, September 9th 8:30-11:30

Charlestown Nursery School is hosting First Aid and CPR this Friday, September 9th. As always it is open to the community. Many parents and caregivers join the class. If you are interested, you can register with the instructor directly. kathlee...@hassne.com

8:30-9:30 a.m.-- Heartsaver CPR/AED -- This course will provide
participants with the skills and knowledge needed to respond to breathing
and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants until more
advanced medical personnel arrive.   Participants will be taught how to
recognize and care for choking, signs and signals of a heart attack, CPR
and AED use.  Upon successful completion of the course, participants will
receive a certification card for Heartsaver CPR/AED which is valid for two
years.    Cost:  $50 pp

9:30 - 11:30 a.m. -- Heartsaver First Aid -- This course provides the
basic skills and knowledge to respond to First Aid emergencies including
Sudden Illnesses (seizure, stroke, diabetes), Soft Tissue Injuries
(bleeding and burns), Injuries to Muscles Bones and Joints, and
Environmental Emergencies (animal/bug bites, heat- and cold-related
emergencies).  Hands-on skills include caring for a bleeding wound and use
of an epinephrine auto injector.  Upon successful completion of class,
students receive Heartsaver First Aid certification valid for two years.  
Cost: $40 pp

If students take both courses, total cost is $70 pp
