Volunteers Urgently Needed for Sept. 9th

Hello Band Families!

We are gearing up for our first marching band competition on Sept. 9th. With the holiday weekend, we're looking to finalize our volunteer lists as soon as possible so we know things are taken care of well in advance. With 100+ kids in the band program, if each family volunteers once during the season, our needs would be well covered. I'm looking forward to getting to know more of you as we all pitch in to help. 

First, thank you to everyone who has already donated snacks, water and other supplies. We have all the chips we need, so right now it's just water and granola bars for the buses. You can sign up for those items HERE and drop them off the morning of the 9th. We are hoping to collect all of our donations for the entire season as early as possible.

In addition to these items, we REALLY need adult volunteers to help with driving the trucks, chaperoning and building sandwiches so the kids can have a quick lunch before leaving town on the 9th. Those sign ups can all be found HERE. If you would like to make a monetary donation to help offset our costs to purchase sandwich supplies, you can contribute any amount $5+ via Zelle (using the email address bvnud...@gmail.com) or Square.

Finally, if you haven't already, please sign up to be included in the SportsYou group(s) connected to the ensemble in which your student participates. Please do that soon as we are transitioning away from the Google group and want to have a single channel for all communication. (Apologies if you are already on SportsYou and are receiving this message twice.)

SportsYou can be accessed online (www.sportsyou.com) or on the SportsYou app (iOS or Android). You will need to create an account and then input the access code for the group. There are several groups and you only need to join the ones relevant to what your student participates in.

Once you are in the "team" it will ask for your position. Please mark yourself as family. Within each team, you can edit your "player info" (3 dots on the right side in the Members screen). Please add your students' names here.

If you are helping your student set up their account as well, they will join the teams as "players" and in their player info they will put their instrument. This is different for each "team", so please indicate what instrument they play in each ensemble.
