Dear Band Family:

Happy Summertime! We are excited to get going with our rehearsals at Centennial starting this coming Monday, July 24th.

Please share this information with everyone you know who is interested in Band at Centennial. We emailed and sent paper mail to every family on our rosters, but several addresses bounced back for both paper and email. Please see the information linked below. We have a new website coming soon to the Centennial homepage.

General Parent Welcome Information

Registration, Medical, and Marching Band Contract/Calendar of Performances   Please note that you will NOT need to send a check for the Six Flags trip. Registration and uniform payments are still welcome. Anyone who has already sent in a check for Six Flags will get a refund after camp. Six Flags contacted me in late June to say that they had changed their policy nationwide to not allow outside performances.

Help with a lunch cookout at the end of the first week: Friday, July 28th

Summer Camp Dates:

July 24-27th  9:00 AM to 3:30 PM Bring lunch or plan to go out for lunch

Friday, July 28th 9:00 AM to 11:30 Rehearsal. 11:30 to 1:30 Cookout!

July 31-Aug 3rd 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Bring lunch or plan to go out for lunch

Thurs, Aug 3rd 5:00 PM Performance at Centennial Football Stadium

Students need to plan to arrive at least ten minutes early to each call time. All will need to either bring their lunch or money for lunch. Lunch is on their own at 11:30 each day. The building will remain open for all students. We will announce each day which section will meet for uniform fitting in the building at 12:30. Rehearsals will begin again at 1:00 so students will need to plan to return ten minutes before starting.

Students should wear athletic clothing. Shoes will need to be closed toe shoes. We highly recommend  bringing a string bag with extra waters, sunscreen, sunglasses.
If you have a shade canopy or water and snacks you would like to donate, please bring them to the welcome table when you drop off your student behind Centennial.
You can get to the practice fields by taking the small drive between Jefferson and Centennial on the south side of the building. Forms can be dropped off with your student this coming Monday.

We would like to keep several coolers with ice and sealed water bottles on the field for students this year. If you would like to bring a loaded cooler, please do and we will spread them out around the practice field.

Heat and Air Quality: due to the reality of our weather and air, we are planning to spend more time indoors than usual. Please read the last portion of the medical form and make sure your information is up to date. If your student has an issue with heat, crowds, or loud volume, please call or text me personally so we can make a plan. Michael Allen  618 978 5426
