Thedirect handwritten teachings of Ramana are more in his poems, of which Arunachala Aksharamanamalai (Marital Garland of Letters) stands out. The evening parayanams include Upadesa Saram, and Upadesa Undiyar, and they make great reading. Among the books, Living by the Words of Bhagawan by David Godman is a must read and is about the life of Annamalai Swami. It captures certain aspects of Ramana not to be found in other books.
