Subject: [Chapoteau Partners] Video about Haiti

Does anyone own a copy of The Road to Fondwa (DVD) that I could borrow?  It's a documentary film about Haiti, and I would like to show it at our movie group in the latter part of September.  Y'all are welcome to come see it too.

A group of women are hosting a seminarian from Haiti for 3 weeks in September, and she will be staying with me for 1 week.  I thought she could come and help enlighten us about issues.

If you have another suggestion for a movie, I am particularly interested in everyone knowing the tragic history of Haiti, therefore helping us understand why life there is such a challenge (aside from the natural disasters of late).

yes, of course.  Just hoping to save myself some dinero.

Tom Howell lent me his copy which I saw.  It's good, but I wanted something with more history which does not seem to be available.

Tom and Susan have separated, so he's gone back to Va. and presumably has his copy with him.

Thanks for looking for me.

Maybe the Diocese library his it...hmmm. Maybe I'll call them.

Paul, we need to go talk to the Vestry in January about our fundraising to get them on board.  Remember, they didn't want me to do any sort of competitive fundraising with posters in the narthex with paper doll cutouts representing each student whose tuition was funded.  I don't think we are getting enough support, so let's go talk with them in the not to distant future.
