Hi Everyone,

Following on from earlier in the year if you were willing to donate any plants to the village planters that would be fantastic and now is the time!

The following would be some good ideas but we are happy to take whatever - to help try and make the planters look bright and colourful.

Geraniums
Trailing Lobeliia
Begionas

Samantha and I have now cleared / tidied up most of the planters and we are hoping to finish this and plant up this coming Friday (30th May).
If you would like to help us you are very welcome as many hands make light work etc etc.....can confirm times later.

Also, a shout out to anyone willing to water the planters through the summer please let me know.

Regards
Wendy

Hi Everyone,

As most people are aware we wont be receiving any Council Flowers this summer,  understandable in the current climate.

Would any keen gardeners out there be kind enough to plant a few extra seeds this year and donate the plants to the village planters?

Really anything bright and colourful would be wonderful and much appreciated.

I will be sowing some extra seeds of the following to give an idea  - more of these and other seeds / plants would be great:
Trailing Lobellia
Trailing Nasturtium
Dwarf Cosmos
Cornflowers

Other plants that have done well in the planters are but not limited to:
Geraniums (I cannot  grow these from seed!)
Begionas (as above!)
Bidens Eldoro Yellow

If seeds are not for you then when you are splitting some of your perennials we could use them in the planters! Perennial Geraniums etc. etc....anything that doesn't need much looking after!

Many thanks to Sue Edwards for suggesting the idea of planting a few extra seeds in a FB post awhile ago.

If you could let me know if you are able to plant a few extra seeds and / or give some perennials that would be great. I am a keen, happy go lucky gardener and no expert so if anyone has ideas / suggestions then please let me know.

Regards
Wendy
