Yo peeps,
Holy moly dudes. GILBERTO GIL is coming to the Carolina Performing Arts center or whatever it's called, which is the building that is literally right next to my department building. This dude is a legend of Brazilian music. Tickets are TEN BUCKS for students. Such a ridiculous deal. Just youtube this guy man. For real.
Anyone want to go? I'm going to buy ticket(s) tomorrow, if you're interested then maybe we can coordinate a purchase. Let me know.

Hey all,
As it turns out, you can't purchase more than two tickets at a time, so I just went ahead and bought two. If you still haven't bought your ticket yet, then I have one waiting for you. Let me know if you don't have one already and I'll let you know if it's still available. Otherwise I'll *have* to find someone to give a ticket to...
The rest of you should buy tickets soon. I think they should be available for a while but all the non-shitty seats on the ground level are taken and the front section of the mezzanine is looking pretty full as well. The two tickets I bought are in the front row of the mezzanine level, near the center. It's apparently "limited leg room" but I looked at some pictures of the section online and it looked OK. Yeah that wasn't a very scientific way to figure that out but whatever, I'm not a real scientist anyways.
