    Merry Christmas everybody!

Now that that's over with, is there any interest in a ski trip out to VA/WV
in late January? To be completely honest I have an overwhelming itch to get
some more east coast skiing in but don't have a car, an am therefore
bumming around for people to tag along with.

I have some friends who might meet up with us from DC/NoVA if we decide to
go, so it should be a merry time. Ideally we'd make it out to Snowshoe in
WV but if practical considerations win out then probably Wintergreen in the
Blue Ridge near Charlottesville is a better idea. Thoughts?

    Happy holidays,
    Jimmy

PS: if someone has Andra's e-mail could they also forward this to her? I
think she is from CO = probably a skier.

That sounds great! I would love to join. Only issue- not sure how feasible it will be to bring my snowboard back from MA on the plane.... let's see! :)

I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday and I can't wait to see you!!

You can always rent! I, for one, am definitely not bringing my board back with me on the plane...

I think we should aim for either the weekend after MLK weekend or the one after that. I'm going to ask my friends in DC how it looks for them so we can coordinate and then we should work out the details... especially if we decide to stay one night (not necessarily) and need lodging.

Sounds like a plan! I can't do the weekend after MLK day- but why don't we do the weekend of MLK day- do we have that Monday off? Otherwise the weekend of February 1st would be good. Let me know!

Hmm. My original thinking about avoiding MLK weekend was that MLK weekend gets super crowded. Everyone converges on it from Pittsburgh, DC, Richmond, etc etc. It wouldn't be a problem really except that I think finding lodging becomes impossible.

But, now being the selfish person I am, I'm hearing back from a lot of my friends in DC that they prefer the first weekend in February--so, could we aim for that weekend instead?

Also this is unrelated but is it true that public health people don't have class on Friday too? I know that's true for grad students in other departments...

Once you know how many people it would be and where we would stay, why don't you let us know approximately how much it would cost :)
