beginner's question

I have just started to play around with examples from Timline 2.6.1. I keep getting the error message links is undefined. I am copying the example and pasting the code in helloworld jsp page. Any ideas what is wrong with what I am doing. I am using Spring MVC JDK 7, Chrome ver 33.

Do you actually load the library in your web application (client side)?

Many thanks for your reply. I have just installed Chrome, using dev tools to see calls, you are right, it is not loading the library. I realised the problem is the way I am trying to load Javascript library in spring MVC. Thinking it would be enough to keep the files outside WEB-INF folder. There is more to it, trying to find out how.
