Peter, Please pass this on to our Tuesday Chaosians.
Yesterday's State Journal has a news story of interest to our recent topic on May 9th. It appears that two Wisconsin Republican State Senators are holding a "Symposium"
on the need to defund all the UW campus Offices of DEI. The keynote speaker, a man of certain incredibility, Senator Ron Johnson will give the major address!
The WSJ also mentioned that nationwide, 14 Republican Governors are now wanting all their public universities to defund all their DEI employees.
Now, with such
lock-step timing (Vos, DeSantis, and Abbot, and the many others), do you all believe these Republicans have an overriding interest in serving the needs of women, Blacks, and Latinos, on our campus?
Yes, offices of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion on our nation's campuses can be clumsy at times, but to eliminate them all immediately seems, to me,
draconian and something that in our nation's past, Governor Faubus, and Lester Mattox would have glowingly approved.
Does anyone have second thoughts about Pamela Paul's article intent?
