With everything you've got in mind, it's not enough to let go of a Chaos Monkey or worse, the whole Simian Army. These tools work and do what they're supposed to do.

Get familiar with the practices and procedures of Chaos Engineering beforehand. Don't start alone without telling your team.

It's about working together and developing an understanding of how your applications deal with failures and errors. If you haven't implemented patterns of resilience software design, you won't know if they work correctly. So your experiments fail and you knew it beforehand. Unfortunately you don't learn anything from that. 🤔😉

Netflix, gremlin, ChaosIQ and many others have summarized everything important and worth knowing. Start here...
