Best Paper Award for the 2026 SCTPLS Conference

This is a reminder of the annual “Best Paper Presented at the SCTPLS Conference" award offered by the SCTPLS Conference Committee and Nonlinear Dynamics, Psychology, and Life Sciences! The prize will be $1000 and extended membership in SCTPLS for two years, and publication of the paper in NDPLS, pending the standard editorial process, which typically requires some revisions to the first submitted draft. In the case of multi-author papers, the first author, who would also be the presenting author at the conference, will be considered the applicant for the award and potential awardee. Those who would like to put their hats in ring should be mindful of the working dates, as follows:
May 15 – deadline for submitting abstracts for the conference.

May 30 – Conference chair responds to all abstracts received.

July 5 – Participants who would like to be considered for the award need to send a full-text paper by this date. Importantly, all submissions will be considered submission for review and publication in NDPLS. The usual requirement that the manuscript has not been previously published and is not under review by another journal will apply.

July 6 or earlier – The review committee will review the submissions as soon as possible ahead of the start of the conference to maximize writers’ time to make improvements as needed. The review committee will consist of NDPLS Editorial Board members and ad hoc reviewers as needed. The members of the Editorial Board and SCTPLS conference committee are not be eligible for the award.

July 10 – Everyone who had an abstract accepted would need to register by this date in order to remain on the program. This rule has been a standard procedure for many years.

Conference Business Meeting -- The announcement of the winner will be made at the business meeting, which is held the second day of the main conference (July 31), with a certificate and cash award presented then. Runners up would receive their replies regarding publication ASAP after the conference.

To submit a manuscript for consideration – There will be a portal on the conference page, ABOUT THE CONFERENCE, where you can submit your full-text paper, which will be received by the NDPLS Editor in Chief. Please remember that you will also need to submit your abstract and related information for presentation at the conference through the abstract submit page.
