First off, I hope you all are having a great summer.
Anyways, there are a couple of opportunities that you can all take
advantage of. The first is Chargin' In. We need a few people to help
out basically promoting the team. We'll have a table and be driving
the robot around. Even if you're not able to/don't want to help us
out, come down and hang out with us for a while at out table. If
you're feeling extra awesome, wear your T-shirt and get your
non-robotics friends (I know, some of us still have a few) to come down
and check us out so we can convert them!
Now for the big one - FLL. In the past we have mentored some local FLL
teams, and we are looking to continue mentoring FLL teams as part of
our Chairman's program. We talked at the end of last year about
mentors for this season, but now we need to know for sure if you are
able and willing to mentor this season. We really need some team
members to help out mentoring these teams this year.
Anyone who can and will mentor, or is even interested, should email
me as soon as possible so we can start planning for next year. The
time commitment is normally one meeting per week, and no prior
experience is necessary (though preferred). Service hours are
available, and these hours count for both NHS and SNHS.
