Important Information from Anne Meyer

Intrepid FLL Volunteers - Just wanted to give you a summary of times, required forms etc. that you'll need for the upcoming FLL Tournament at Franklin Middle School on Nov. 12, 2011 (that's next Saturday!)

First off - every volunteer - parent or student - needed to fill out a FIRST consent form (attached).  If you're under 18, your parent needs to sign it.  Very important!!  Bring it Wed. to the Robotics meeting or Friday afternoon for setup or Saturday morning for the tournament.

If you already have a VA/DC white t-shirt from last year, you are welcome to wear it.  I have t-shirts for you if you don't already have one - but they don't change from year to year, so please recycle.

Friday - If you can help with set-up at Franklin MS, please meet me in Mr. Rothwell's room at around 2 pm.  We need to load tables, extension cords, etc. into Mr. Masters' truck and my trailer.  I know that school gets out at 12 pm on Friday.  If you need somewhere to hang out for a few hours, let me know.  You're welcome to come to my house in Greenbriar.  I have a 12 passenger van, so I can transport from CHS to FMS and back.  If  you want to meet us at FMS - plan to be there just after 3 pm (when the middle school has cleared out).  Shouldn't take more than an hour or 2 to get everything set up.

Saturday - Please arrive at FMS at 7 am.  The teams will be arriving at 8 am for registration, so I want us to be 100% ready for them.  Coaches meeting is at 8:45.  Opening ceremonies begin at 9:00.  I'm still tweaking the scheduling, but currently looks like judging will end at about 2 pm, closing ceremonies probably over about 3:15.  After clean-up, we should be out of FMS around 4 pm.  Still working out options on concessions (Blair's and Melissa's moms are chairing that) but expect to have us feed you lunch.

Please let me know if you have questions, suggestions etc.  Some of you will be contacted individually about more details (referees, table resetters).  Thanks again for your help!  See you Wed. at the Robotics Meeting.

Melissa, can you send me the full schedule when it is finalized, so I can update the website? Right now it seems the schedule on the website is at least 2 hours ahead.
