I use a Seagate Blackarmor 440 for network storage. I have both a Windows PC and a Macbook Pro running macOS Big Sur. I can access folder shares and accounts on the NAS from my MBP with an internet browser poiting to the IP address. Thus I verified that the usernames and passwords are correct. When I try to use Finder to connect to the NAS it fails when using a registered account. Using the Guest account I can access the open folders on the NAS although I cant access the protected folders. I am using smb://Servername with and without the /Sharedfolder included. I have file sharing enabled in the MBP in case that matters. Is there any other setting or protocol I have missed?
