My square register keeps disconnecting from the internet. I have upgraded my modem and made sure that it is still working. All of the other devices in the shop are still connected. My customer display also disconnects.


Hello @kristavallas and thanks for your post. I'm sorry you're having trouble with your Square Register. There are a few things you could try to see if it fixes. Is your Register connected to the Internet via WiFi, or hard connection via Ethernet cable? If it is on WiFi you could (if located in such a way) try connecting via Ethernet and see if that helps.

Hi everyone.

So our coffee bar has a lump-sum payment system other than the regular payment system. We basically want to load the prepaid amount into the square system and then as people buy goods want it to be deducted from the prepaid amount. Does anyone know how to set such a system or add the prepaid details to square?

That's an interesting way to process payments, I don't think I've ever visited a coffee shop that offers this. I imagine you have a large number of loyal customers. Currently we don't offer the ability to create a credit for a customer and have it automatically deducted. Although I think you could achieve something similar using Square Gift Cards.
