*** Personal Plea: Avon Cancer Walk this weekend

Friends and Colleagues,
I am up late helping my friend Danielle, who is just *$600* short of her goal to participate in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer this weekend. Unlike other fund-raising events, the organizers require you to reach your goal to be able to walk!
If each of you can simply contribute as little as $50 on her site, it would take her over her goal, and she can challenge herself trekking over 39 miles through L.A. and Long Beach with the two-day walk September 13-14.

All funds raised are Fully Tax Deductible, and for your ease and convenience, you can split the donation into 3 or 5 automatic monthly payments. Contributions allow medically-underserved women and men to get the medical care they need and allow leading research teams to be supported in their ongoing search for a cure. The Avon Foundation places a priority on returning funds to the geographic area in which the Avon Walk takes place with a special emphasis on reaching low-income, elderly and minority individuals and those with inadequate health insurance.
REALTORS, LENDERS and other SELF-EMPLOYED: While you are thinking about paying your 2nd quarter 2008 estimated taxes (due September 15!), why don’t you offset those taxes by making a generous contribution! $$$
