Hello newly minted Changecampers!

I'm still feeling a buzz from last night's Ignite Sault, and I only had water to drink. Thank-YOU for giving me energy to push forward on the biggest, riskiest, most audacious and significant experiment I've ever attempted. This has been over a year in the making, and the time feels right. Your enthusiastic response confirms that for me.

There is much to do, of course. I have high hopes, though I know real change will take time. I take encouragement in another quote by Peter Block, one I forgot to include in my talk last night:

One element of strategy is to create an alternative future one room at a time. If you can change the room, you have changed the culture, at least for that moment. This room, this way of gathering and engaging becomes a metaphor for the larger world and its possibility.

I believe Ignite and Changecamp are powerful examples of what Peter is talking about.

Some steps you can do right now with a little effort:
  • Follow @ChangeCampSault on Twitter if you tweet
  • Become a fan of ChangeCamp on Facebook. We have admin access to this fan page for all Changecamps.
  • Read more about Changecamp
  • Share with the group a brief introduction of yourself, what motivated you to sign up, what you hope to get out of the experience. I encourage you to share by posting a comment on our web site, so we can create more visibility about who we are and like be like honey to attract more bees.
  • Invite others you think would want to get involved, either as part of the organizing team or as part of the Changecamp experience. Anyone is welcome to join the mailing list.
I will send out an invite shortly with some possible times to meet up. I am away next week, so looking at something the following week. In the meantime, I will try and open up some discussion on things we can do in the meantime, work that can't really wait.

P.S. I posted this email on our shiny new web site, which still needs a bit of work. Jason, we'll be in touch. :)

Hello, anybody out there? Haven't seen any replies to this email or a
comment to the post on the web site. Starting to feel lonely (sniff).
