Dear Colleague The IFC/World bank issued a report in 2011 stating that transaction processing time, lack of information and licensing agencies are all areas that need to be addressed in order to accelerate renewable energy projects in East Africa. There is no doubt that the East Africa region is experiencing a renewable energy revolution and the industry has come a long way. The Energy Regulatory Commission launched the Renewable Energy Portal providing easy to access information and several successful hydro and solar projects were completed. Uganda’s power demand increases 10% annually and about 97% of Uganda’s population does not have access to electricity. The Bujagali hydropower project in Uganda will be discussed by Kevin Kariuki from IPS at the 15th Annual East African Power Industry Convention in Nairobi, Kenya from the 9th to 11th of September, 2013. You will not only get an in-depth look at the trials and tribulations of the Bujagali project and learn from those who have made a success out of project management, but find out what the latest developments and projects are in the East Africa region. Opportunities will be presented to you along with excellent networking opportunities, pre-conference workshops, FREE technical workshops on the exhibition floor and the change to increase your circle of influence. BOOK before the 8th of August and save
15% on your conference delegate fee.
