Suggestion - Having visible petition categories would make it so much easier for everyone, and people would sign more of the petitions.

One of the biggest downfalls of petition sites, is their inability to connect petitions that are relevant to one another. For example, a person who signs a petition for animal rights and protections is most likely going to want to sign all petitions under that category, but how do they search? Do they use 'circus animals,' 'animal abuse,' 'animals,' or just 'abuse,' but what about poaching and aquatic zoos? A person has to perform multiple searches to find them all, and frankly people are too apathetic to go to that must work to sign petitions.

It would just be a whole lot better if you had even a drop-down box for people to select a category for their petition, and then people can also use a drop-down menu as part of the search feature. It's not a hard thing to encode. Developer software often has quick scripts you can drag in if you want to.

This way it's easier for people to see if a petition has already been created, and they can promote that one. It also means each petition will be more successful, because more people will be able to find them to sign them. You've made it very easy to sign them, but once signed there are only a few suggestions given afterward that often aren't relevant to the topic.

I totally agree. This definitely has to be implemented. Including the API, of course.
