Thefirst number before the . is your major build number, so for version 1903 this will read 18362. The number after the . is your minor build number, and this will let you know whether you have the backport on your machine. This backport has the minor build number: 1049. To summarize, if your minor build number is 1049 or higher on Windows builds 18362 or 18363, then you have the backport and the ability to run WSL 2 distros.
Although WSL2 is currently also being back-ported to earlier versionof Windows 10, this is still a work in progress. If the update is not showing up in Windows Update, this means that it'snot yet verified for your configuration. It would be more prudent in this case to update to Windows 10 version 2004(which is a good idea in any case).
Hi! i bought Wrold machine for my windows 10 the 27 of december 2019 last year and i had a blast using it, but almost one month and a half it broke down, i cant open the program and when i do it just a white window and then it crashes, i have tested deleting and downloading it, used another version and deleting other programs to give it more desk room but nothing workt!! Skrmklipp 1.PNG690x367
When we tryd to ask the helpdesk they responded to our first ticket but dident help us, then we send another and on that one they did not respond this was in febuary, now in marsh we send gmail and we havent got any respond on that either!
Crashing on startup is often related to corrupted file paths. The easiest way to fix this is to got to %APPDATA%\World Machine StandardProfessional\ and delete the file world.ini. This will trigger a fresh installation of WM.
I am a hobby user and since having landed on SU Make 2017 I have notice a complete breakdown in functionality. After just a couple of minutes of use the software comes to a near grinding halt.
Whether it was windows 10 that messed with SU or the other way around it leaves me without my favorite drawing program.
Is Trimble kind enough to put out a 2020 version of SU Make?
I have tried the pro version and ALL the problems that I have in Sketchup 2017 are fixed!
I would be happy to pay for it but I cannot afford the $299 for one time let alone yearly.
Sketchup is simply Fantastic Software but is it only the pro users that are going to be able to afford it?
Close SketchUp, find the downloaded installer, right click on it and choose Run as administrator. When presented with the options, choose Repair. Make sure you are logged into Windows as your normal user.
Start up was normal but I can tell something is not working right off the bat. When I go to View/Toolbars there is a 10 second delay before the spinning wheel stops and I can actually do anything in that window.
Once I load a file the delay is 20 seconds or more. The objects in the files are wayy sluggish to highlight when I click on them and extra slow to open. Rotations are hurkey jerkey. Overall useless.
Bummer. As SU 2020 loaded quickly while 2017 was running and ran the same model flawlessly.
Sketchup 2017 is Broken
Thanks for your help and let me know if you think of anything else.
I have no idea why is this happening. I was working on my plugin and was idle for like 10 minutes I come back and see this. I kill XD, restart and everything seems normal now. The same thing has happened to me couple of times now and to the point where i cannot do anything without killing XD.

Support for Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) 2 distros is being backported to Windows 10 version 1903, and 1909! Yes, you read that right. We heard how much you liked WSL 2 and wanted to expand its accessibility, and over the last few months we worked on bringing it back to 1903 and 1909.
We are Ty (Tito) Citrin, a PM, and Mitchell Minkoff, an engineer, both working in Windows Servicing. Together we proudly help keep customers protected and productive by working with feature teams like the WSL team to ship security fixes that address Windows vulnerabilities and cool new features just like this!
WSL 2 is a new version of the architecture in WSL that changes how Linux distributions interact with Windows. Each Linux distribution can run as WSL 1 or as WSL 2, and can be switched between at any time. All the features for WSL 2 distros will now be available for an even larger user base:

For version 1909, the build 18363.1049 is equivalent to which of the version 2004 build? I see in the release notes for Windows Subsystem for Linux that Build 20190 was released August 12, 2020; 8 days before this post. Is it included in 18363.1049?
If you ask eM Client Support, they will tell you they test each release on a fully updated OS. In this case it is probably Windows 10 1909 build 18363. That is what I am using, but I also never had this issue on previous versions of Windows, or eM Client. My drivers have always been completely updated using the Windows Device Manager. (Right-click on each device and choose Update driver).
Thank you for the additional information. We have consulted this issue with our UI programmers and it turns out that this is a bug. The designed behavior is indeed to be able to scroll through the message without having to click on the body. We will try to fix this as soon as possible, hopefully it will be working in the 7.1 version.
As an immediate solution, if it was working fine for you in an earlier version of eM Client, you can uninstall what you have, then download and install the previous working version from the Release History. Make a backup using Menu > File > Backup before uninstalling.
Yes, unfortunately this is a thing with POP3. If you delete the database, or connect to the email server from a different email client or computer, the first time it will download all the messages in the Inbox and mark them as unread. This is because it does not yet have a history of what has been downloaded. And with POP3, every new message that is downloaded is automatically marked as unread.
IMAP works differently in that the email application actually syncs with the server. So if the message is marked as read on the server (maybe you read it on your phone) then when it arrives in the application it is already marked as read.
If you want to try it, first make a backup using Menu > File > Backup. Then if it goes wrong, or you just want to go back, uninstall the beta, download the previous version 7 and use Menu > File > Restore.
My laptop had a small upgrade to Windows last night. When I opened Toad - (I have version 13.1) the screen display BS when I hit backspace key. I found a link with directions to delete PLSQLKEYS.BIN from user directory. But, I do not have that file and I can't find it anywhere.
Resetting user files will probably solve it. Directions to do that are here: Toad for Oracle not working after in place upgrade to Win 10 (Skip the part about reinstalling Oracle client, you can leave that alone)
Have you been able to resolve the issue? Did resetting your user files work? This is most likely due to a Windows update and I found an older post that may help resolve the issue, if you want to try them. Please let us know if any of these solutions work.
I have the same issue with the same version of TOAD, plus none of the arrow keys are working either. It is working fine for all other applications. I opened SR with Quest Support, and they also suggested to reset user files. I did that, but it didn't help. If it was Win 10 upgrade, why would the backspace and arrow keys stop working only for TOAD?
But we know that the state of your PC isn't the same. A windows update changed something. The problem is that we don't know what changed. So I'm not saying that Toad is completely innocent here - I mean, if every other app can still backspace, then Toad should also be able to backspace. We just don't know what the cause is, yet.
But, as you said, deleting user files got me to the state of a fresh install. Does it even make sense to contact our tech support and ask them to re-install TOAD? Or maybe it is still worth to try, what would you suggest?
Did you have just a minor windows update? If so, is it possible to temporarily roll it back to see if that gets Toad working again? If that does solve it, then let me know the update number and then I can try to figure out MS changed with it. The weird thing is that I probably got the same update as did thousands of others but I can still backspace and I guess most of them can too or we would have heard this from a lot more users.
Can you share information about your region and locale settings? Language, keyboard, etc. Also, are you running Windows on the machine directly or through some virtualization like VMWare, Virtual Box, etc.?
Unfortunately, we cannot install any new software, it has to be done by tech support, and ver. 13.3 is not available to us yet. But I just found out that my co-worker with the same TOAD version have win 10, version 1809, and I have win 10, version 1803.
Did you by chance try any of the options in that link I sent - specifically options 1-3. I don't know why it would make a difference, but they seem harmless, so you could at least try them. Maybe somehow an update corrupted one of your drivers like the article mentioned. Are you by chance using a different keyboard than the one your other DBA uses? It's a shot in the dark, but it may at least be worth a shot.
