The soundtrack features Doyle's musical score and features two original songs performed by Scottish singer Julie Fowlis (written by Alex Mandel and Mark Andrews, produced by Jim Sutherland), and one original song performed by Birdy and Mumford & Sons.[1] Walt Disney Records released the soundtrack on both CD album and digital download on June 19, 2012.[2]

If you are looking for a more casual listen, I think this soundtrack can also satisfy your curiosity as well with its mix of vocal tracks (featuring Julie Fowlis, Mumford & Sons, and Birdy) and wonderful compositions.

Digital MP3List price$9.99Release dateJune 19, 2012Set in the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland, Disney Pixar's Brave follows the heroic journey of Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald), a skilled archer and headstrong daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to change her fate, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the unruly and uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane), unleashing chaos in the kingdom. When she turns to an eccentric Witch (voice of Julie Walters), she is granted an ill-fated wish and the ensuing peril forces Merida to harness all of her resources including her mischievous triplet brothers to undo a beastly curse and discover the meaning of true bravery.
The music of Brave features score by Oscar-nominated composer Patrick Doyle, as well as two original songs performed by lauded Scottish Gaelic singer Julie Fowlis. A third original song plays during the film s epilogue and is performed by UK singing sensation Birdy with Grammy-nominated British folk rock band Mumford & Sons.
The Triune God sings the most divine love song because of you, because His heart cannot silently contain His love for you. The God of the heavens is not far off, but here, right here, and the wonder of your presence moves the Maker of the universe to burst into song! Let the reality of that soundtrack literally resonate off the walls of your soul!
Featuring a marvelous blend of Celtic-flavored themes, Patrick Doyle's soundtrack from the blockbuster Disney/Pixar film Brave ranges in mood from haunting and lyrical, to powerful and majestic. Robert Longfield captures the style beautifully for string orchestra.
