Could anybody suggest what might be wrong and how to recover connection on occurrence (so far I reboot pi on occasion).
In asterisk logs - nothing.

Kind regards,
Ievgen.

Dongle is normally idle or normally busy?

Here in italy i've found that for some operator, if the dongle remains
idle for so much time, get disconnected from the network.

Sometimes it suffices to ''reset'' it via cli, some other have to be
unplugged.

Hi,

Usually it's idle (especially at 3am :)).

Good point - could be that it's provider related (then it's not understood how it's handled with normal phones?)

Kind regards,
Ievgen.

Ahem, i'm speaking of some weeks of idle time, not hours... ;-)))

Carriers read IMEI, so know exactly what phone you are using, so,
practically can do anything they want.

In my case if you keep your ''phone'' idle and fixed on the same
place by weeks... ;-)

Hm, no in that regard it wasn't idle for even days (3-6 hours maybe more but not significantly)

Sometimes (rarely) it helps to reset the dongle with:
dongle reset dongle0

However, in most cases after reset modem become "Not connected Start scheduled" and if I try to reset it again it says "[dongle0] device disabled"
